Divine Dance to Awakening

Well, our weekend of divine dancing with Bernie Koftinoff of the Oneness University has come and gone. The Oneness Awakening course was a daylong workshop aimed at awakening higher levels of awareness by shifting the mind from a dualist perspective to a state of oneness. The philosophy of the Oneness University is largely grounded in the idea that each person is their own expression of the divine so by connecting to our innermost selves, we embody the divine, the creator, source, God. In other words, whatever it is you envision as that something bigger than yourself is actually a part of you and can be expressed through you. As a result of societal that both conditions of suffering and joy are present at all times, even when the going gets rough, with the right tools it is possible to access a state of joy.

During the day long intensive that took place Saturday May 31st at the Skidegate small hall, participants were guided through a series meditations and dancing sessions through which they were able to raise their Kundalini, untimately enabling the release of emotional blockages. Bernie also offered oneness blessings or deeksha, a practice where the giver is able to transfer divine energy into the receiver, ultimately connecting them to their higher self and further clearing habitual patterning that is no longer serving them.

It was a challenging workshop where we scaled the depths of our souls and discovered what past events or traumas that have been stuck in our sub-conscious mind are holding us back and fueling our ego-selves. In a loving and supportive environment we helped each other express and release these painful events. By clearing emotional blockages we are now more able to give and receive love and joy!

“The destiny of man is to awaken from their spiritual amnesia and to realign with the original intention of their soul. When the hawk gets a hold of us in his powerful talons, we will be asked to evaluate who we have become and to shatter our self created illusions. This will help our inner truth to come out into the open and for it to shine.” ~ Ina Woolcott
